Porto Heli sits on a natural harbour on the eastern Peloponnese, two and a half hours by car from Athens or three by hydrofoil from Piraeus. Spetses is a ten-minute water taxi from the port. Hydra is a little further out but easy to reach. Nafplio and the theatre at Epidaurus are an hour inland. Beaches are everywhere, five minutes on foot from some of the houses and a ten or twenty minute drive from the rest, and most guests find one they keep going back to. You can drive somewhere different every day of the week, leave the car where it is, or walk to the nearest beach.
